In their first contest in February, the Wildcats take on Otis-Bison, in front of another overflow crowd at the Claflin High School Gymnasium. While Claflin is putting up 30 points in the first quarter, Stafford struggles and can only claim a solitary free throw. By the half, they have managed eight points. The game is another blowout, 93-24, (Need Box - where played home or away?) On Tuesday evening, the Wildcats add another jewel to a sparking unbeaten skein. They improve to 16-0 with another blowout, this time quadrupling the scoring efforts of La Crosse, with a 108-25 clobbering of the Lady Leopards. The Stucky sisters, senior Emily, 5'4", and sophomore Carly, 5'8" sophomore, both guards, provide Pretty Prairie (23-1) with the best offensive tandem outside of Little River. But the Lady Bulldogs are playing without their standout senior center, 6'0" Tara Wade, victim of a knee injury, sidelined near the end of the regular season. Tara's little sister Kary Wade, 5'9" sophomore has been doing an adequate, even respectable job of filling her big sister's Reeboks at center.
